Wa Assembly commissions first batch of city guards to enforce sanitation, by-laws

The 10 Mechanised Battalion Barracks in Wa hosted the graduation of the first batch of city guards commissioned by the Wa Municipal Assembly after a seven-day security program.

The guards completed a one-week basic security and Community Protection Course at the military facility. The instruction focused on basic security measures, physical conditioning, and community protection protocols designed to prepare recruits for daily field assignments across the municipal district.

The newly commissioned personnel now move into public duty, where they will monitor compliance with local government regulations throughout the regional capital of the Upper West Region.
