Fuel Prices: Star Oil holds petrol at GH¢14.97, raises diesel to GH¢16.97

Market Adjustments Across More Than 200 Fuel Marketing Companies

Star Oil increased its retail price of diesel to GH¢16.97 per litre on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, while holding its petrol price flat at GH¢14.97 per litre.

The price movement makes Star Oil one of the first Oil Marketing Companies in Ghana to adjust pump rates for the opening pricing window of September.

The update represents a 50-pesew increase on diesel, which sold at GH¢16.47 per litre at Star Oil filling stations during the previous pricing window.

Other Oil Marketing Companies across Ghana are expected to review their retail prices throughout Tuesday, according to reporting by JOY BUSINESS.
