‘I don’t trust OSP’ to probe GH¢70k ‘bribe’ allegation – Kwasi Kwarteng

Kwasi Kwarteng, a member of the New Patriotic Party communications team, declared on television that he does not trust Ghana's Office of the Special Prosecutor to investigate an alleged GH¢70,000 bribe inside parliament.

Speaking during an appearance on Channel One TV on Saturday, September 5, Kwarteng directly questioned the credibility and independence of the state anti-corruption body.

"No, I don't trust OSP," Kwarteng said. "The current office, in this current form, in this current state, it's not something that I have so much confidence in."

His comments follow the launch of preliminary investigations by the Office of the Special Prosecutor into a document detailing an alleged cash transfer between high-ranking parliamentary figures.
